In 1964,
Dr. George Goodheart discovered that he could obtain information directly from the body of a patient by using manual muscle testing. He called this new way of communicating with the body, "Applied Kinesiology", and started a revolution in health care.

"AK" found its way into the practices of innovative doctors everywhere. Some of those who adopted these methods, changed them and taught their modified versions to others. Differences in philosophy, technique, and scope of practice eventually divided kinesiologists into different camps that rarely communicated with one another. Much public and professional confusion about what kinesiology actually is resulted from this fragmentation.

In 2000,
Kinesiologists United
was created to renew communication between the various factions within the field of kinesiology for the benefit of the public and the practitioners themselves.

Kinesiologists United is a worldwide community of people who are already united by the knowledge that the body is capable of telling us exactly what it needs. This one thing we have in common outweighs all our differences. Kinesiologists are finally coming together at the leading edge of integrative health care to learn from one another. You are invited to participate.
